Saâd-Eddine El Otmani underlines in his response on the measures taken by the government since the decree of the state of medical emergency, at the end of last March, that 1000 resuscitation beds, 550 respiratory devices, and 100 000 test kits were acquired by the ministry responsible. Purchases to add to drugs, pharmaceuticals, and medical gases.
At the same time, the necessary human resources have been mobilized to meet the needs of health centers intended to receive patients suffering from the virus.
Also included in the figures of the Head of Government are the preparation and equipment of the military field hospitals, to be added to other reception structures intended for the reception of patients with virus, where there are ready medical services. to begin their duties at any time.
In order to simplify the procedures for acquiring these supplies and meet the urgent needs of the health sector in general, the government has issued a decree simplifying the procedures for implementing spending by the Ministry of Health.
This is another exceptional measure compared to the provisions of Decree 2-12-349 relating to public procurement in the sector. This emergency mechanism goes hand in hand with the commitments of the Executive, included in the government program, and flow from this priority.
El Otmani said his government is committed to making the promotion of the health sector a national priority in order to meet the needs of citizens.
The permanent increase in the budget allocated over the last three years, by approximately 33% between 2017 and 2020, going from DH 14 billion in the 2018 budget, to 18.6 billion in the 2020 budget, with an increase in the level clinical, medical and paramedical supervision are the axes of the policy defended by the Head of Government in this context.
This is evidenced by the successive increase in the number of budget items allocated to the health sector, creating 4,000 jobs annually since the 2018 budget.
